Chateau de Sully

In the heart of the region of Burgundy, the Château de Sully has been the home of the Mac Mahon family for more than 250 years. The heirs of the first elected President of the French Republic, the Duchess of Magenta and her children, are now running both the Château and the prestigious vineyard which is situated in Chassagne-Montrachet, a few miles away.

The Château de Sully is a genuine Renaissance palace. The park surrounding the castle has a XIIth century chapel, a ice-house, a picturesque wash-house and a fine garden. A gift-shop and a tea-room serving food and a choice of drinks are available in the Orangerie. Visitors can also taste the wines of the Domaine des Ducs de Magenta.
