The Maison Régionale des Arts de la Table (REGIONAL HOUSE OF FOOD AND TABLEWARE) is a testament to the hospitality and gastronomic traditions of the city :

- From March to November, it houses exhibitions on the culinary art
- Gardens line the cultural space of Bains-Douches (contemporary art)

Walking through the heart of the city, visitors will admire beautiful ancient half-timbered houses with turrets.

The Motte Forte Tower
Vestige of the 12th century castle. It offers a magnificent panorama. In summer it houses artistic exhibitions.

The "Maison Bourgogne"
A typical town house of the late middle ages with renaissance ornaments (16th).

The castle of the Princes de Condé
An elegant seigniorial residence built by the family Merlan de Beaumont, was embellished during the 17th century an sols to the Princes de Condé. Its interior cannot be visited

The Church Saint Laurent
It was built in the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Pays d'Arnay
The communities of the Arnay area own a rich historical, cultural and religious heritage.

Lacanche : A typical industrial estate from 1920. The streets of the village went directly through the factory. The church, built between 1841 and 1844 in the neoclassical style, has interior frescos that are listed in the "Monuments Historiques". Further, Lacanche has obtained two flowers at the ville fleurie-contest. It has several beautiful bourgeois mansions.

Near Maligny and the former hiding place of the Resistance in World War II, you can find the hiking and mountain-biking circuits n° 8 and 9, containing 7 or 9 km of signposted walking-ways.

Saint-Prix-lès-Arnay : The particularity of this village is to be cut in two parts by the highway N° 6. The church, built in the 13th century, has a burgundian cornice. Do not forget to look in the farm "Ferme du Colombier", where you can visit the exploitation and buy their agricultural products. (Phone : 03.80.90.03.07)

The village Foissy lies at the hiking-circuit n°5 (10,5 km), that starts at the lake Fouché. The circuit n°4 (12 km) is situated near Mimeure.
Close to this village, you can find the chapel Contaut (15th century).
This is where the well-known battle of the future king Henry IV happened during the religious wars in 1570.

The hiking-circuits n° 6 and 7, containing 9,5 and 10 km of signposted ways, will lead you to Voudenay. Here, you will find a castle (today private) as well as a Romanesque church of the 12th century.

In Clomot, there is a Romanesque church, listed in the "Monuments Historiques", and the private Château de Rousset, surrounded by towers. One of them has a lantern at the top.

The Château de Promenois is situated in Jouey. It has been restored and today it presents itself in Règence style. Its oldest part was built in the 16th century. In the Buan forest, there are the hiking-circuits n° 1 and 2, with 11 and 8,5 km to walk.

The church of Viévy was built in the 14th and 15 centuries of sandstone. The village has 14 hamlets. One of them, Dracy Chalas, has fortified houses and a chapel of the 9th century. This chapel's bell has always seemed to have the power to drive away tempests. During high storms, someone rang the bell to keep them away.

The village of Magnien has a Romanesque church with a gothic bell tower and a burgundian cornice.

In the hamlet of Maizières (at the circuit n°3 ; 8km long) there is an old well known mineral spring. Moreover, curious hikers may discover the chapel Saint Léger built in the wood.

The source of the Arroux springs out of a Romanesque well, at the Bize farm near Culêtre.

The church Vieux Saint-Pierre at Saint-Pierre-en-Vaux with its very high nave of the 11th century was built in the 9th century.
It is situated in the woods and during the summer, walkers can discover an altar of the 12th century and a statue of the 15th century at the inside.
In front of the church, there is a beautiful calvary of the 15th century.



In the hamlet of Vellerot, the walkers find a private castle with round and octagonal towers.

The Château de Coutivert, built in a vast garden in 1820, is located in Musigny. It is framed by two large towers of the 19th century. At present, it is an educational institution.
