AMICALE DES DONNEURS DE SANG D’ARNAY LE DUC (BLOOD DONATION)

The association’s main objective is to recruit the greatest possible number of donors given that 10,000 blood donations are needed every day and that blood is a unique resource for which modern science has not yet found an artificial substitute.

Maintaining the collective blood reserve fully depends on the generosity of donors who are concerned about sharing the great wealth of good health.  Blood donors must be between the ages of 18 and 70, and are subject to a prior medical check in order to give their blood without any risks to themselves or the recipients. Men can donate 6 times a year and women, 4 times (if they weigh at least 50 kg). Donating blood must be done without wanting anything in return and is the result of a desire to demonstrate the ethics of benevolence, volunteerism and anonymity.
