Association aim

To promote exchange and communication among members, data collection and historical research on the Cistercian and Templar Order in the Middle Ages in Burgundy in order to disseminate the findings within and outside the association. In order to do so, the centre organises meetings, conferences, exhibits, guided visits and trips as well as the collection of photographic, documental and bibliographic data in contact with the stakeholders concerned: libraries, documentation and research centres, historical societies, universities, territorial groups, etc.
To publish the works of its members on all subjects concerned in the field (architecture, sacred art, archaeology, events, the history of dress and weapons, heraldry, palaeography, sigillography, statistical data, etc.) through a newsletter that is disseminated by the association as well as books and brochures which are occasionally published
To contribute to the creation of a museum and sacred documentation service for the Cistercian and Templar Orders of the Middle Ages in connection with the historical monuments service, cultural affairs, universities, schools and Cistercian religious institutions (monasteries and abbeys).
To establish interactive relations with the media (television, Internet, written and spoken press) in order to spread awareness for the association, its aims and the research it proposes.
To, in accordance with the competent authorities and through volunteerism, engage in the restoration of architectural sites, maintain abandoned sites and monuments, in-situ research and archaeological digs in Burgundy and in France Comté.
