ASSOCIATION CLAUDE GUYOT
Promoting and defending the image, thoughts, battles and philosophy of Claude GUYOT, member of the Resistance, qualified university professor, honorary professor at the Carnot de Dijon higher secondary school, writer, former mayor of Arnay-le-Du (1926-1965), former deputy for Côte d’Or, former chairman of the Departmental Liberation Committee of Côte d’Or, and officer in the French Legion of Honour.
Fostering through all legal and appropriate means the transfer of the legacy of Claude GUYOT through demonstrations and publications as well as keeping his memory alive.
Supporting actions by associations and public partners to continue to remember the resistance, former service members and, in particular, Claude GUYOT. In collaboration with other groups, the association reserves the right to lay flowers for national commemoration ceremonies and on certain anniversary dates.
Rewarding initiatives in this sense with the organisation of contests and various events handing out prizes, titles and distinctions.
It is within this context that the Association Claude GUYOT organises roundtables, conferences and seminars throughout the region, country and abroad. It presides gatherings, breakfasts and dinner debates.
The association also publishes a scientific and historical newsletter.
The organisation includes historians (professional or amateur), the media (writers, journalists, chroniclers…), enthusiasts, university students, technicians and specialists, elected politicians and consular officials as well as descendants of Claude GUYOT.
Together, they lead a noble task to maintain the values of liberty, equality and fraternity that Claude GUYOT had so well defended through his various actions in service to Mankind.
